About this program
The traditional Mechanical Engineering Technology program offers students a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills related to mechanical component and system design. Areas of emphasis include materials, material testing, machine shop practices, manufacturing processes, fluid mechanics with power applications, applied mechanics, electrical fundamentals, and computer-aided drafting and design. In addition, courses place emphasis on safety, teamwork, communications skills and efficient work practice
