About this program
In this one year program, students will learn to use precision tools and instruments to include operation and setup of various types of general machinery such as drill presses, bandsaws, belt sanders, disk sanders, bench grinders, manual milling machines, and lathes. There is also a focus on computer numerical control program writing, setup, and operation for lathe and milling machines. Students who successfully complete the program will earn dual enrollment credit with Virginia Peninsula Community College and a Career Studies Certificate in Virtual Machining & Design.
