About this program
Welding is an integral part of various world-wide industries including advanced manufacturing, petroleum, aerospace, automation, and the medical field. Students at GRCC learn many different welding processes including oxy/fuel, shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc (TIG), robotic automation, and gas metal arc welding (MIG). With these skills, students are qualified for a wide variety of welding jobs in manufacturing, automation, construction, inspection and maintenance industries. This two-semester Welding Certificate program builds upon the Welding Skills Certificate (902), providing students with enhanced knowledge and skills in welding. All credits earned in this Certificate program may be applied toward the Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences in Welding Technology (932).
