About this program

The Career Studies Certificate in CNC Flow Cell Machining is a specialized third-year advanced manufacturing program conducted in a high-precision CNC manufacturing cell.Admission Requirements: In addition to general college admission requirements, students must:Complete MAC 223 and MAC 127 (or equivalents) with a C or higher.Have completed a two-year precision machining program or have equivalent work experience, as evaluated by program instructors.Program Outcomes: Graduates will be able to:Act as high-performance team members and cultivate knowledge required of mid-level machinists or entry-level managers.Apply the concepts of Lean and Six Sigma.Gain an understanding of basic economic principles as they apply to industry and the impact of those principles to manufacturing.Work with a wide range of high-performance machine tools, including 5-axis mills, 3-axis lathes, CNC inner diameter and outer diameter surface grinders, and electrical discharge machining.Learn the ancillary processes associated with machining in a high-precision environment.
