About this program

Electrician Technology is a one-year certificate program that teaches students to install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical devices and equipment. Students are exposed to the regulations of residential and commercial wiring and renewable energy.This program provides the 576 hours of education needed to meet the licensing requirements of the State of Maine and, upon successful completion of the program and 4,000 hours in the field of electrical installations, the State of Maine Electrician Examining Board will allow the student to sit for the journeyman electrician examination.
